About cupping

Movement through vacuum

Cupping creates negative pressure in a cup. This lifts the skin and the superficial underlying tissue. Moving cupping adds controlled movement: the cup does not remain in one place, but is carefully moved over the body.

This provides a different mechanical stimulus than classic massage, which mainly uses pressure. This allows larger areas to be treated in a targeted manner and the tissue can be set in motion from different directions.

Moving cupping is central — looking, feeling and adjusting during every treatment.

The local reaction

What happens during cupping?

Vacuum and movement provide a clear local stimulus. The skin may become warmer or redder and local circulation may change. How an area responds varies per person and depends, among other things, on the technique, the intensity and the area treated.

warmer or redder skin

a pulling or tingling sensation

temporary visible cupmarks

a looser, smoother or freer feeling

Many clients describe a treated area afterwards as warmer, looser, smoother, lighter or freer.

Flow and circulation

Space for movement

Within cupping, a lot of attention is traditionally paid to flow, stagnation, moisture and waste. CUPMOVE combines years of practical experience in cupping with a modern, conscious and carefully structured method of treatment.

Targeted work is done on areas that feel stuck, stiff, stuck or stagnant, and on places where tension, resistance or less freedom of movement is experienced. This does not identify or permanently remove internal adhesions.

Dampness and heavy legs

A lighter feeling

For heavy or tired legs, a swollen or full feeling or the feeling of retaining fluid, moving cupping can be part of the treatment. By carefully coordinating technique, direction and intensity, we work on movement and local flow.

Many clients subsequently describe their legs or body as lighter, looser or freer. CUPMOVE does not treat any medical conditions or edema.

Cup marks

Darker is not better

Cupping can leave temporary red, purple or darker spots. Visibility and duration vary per person, area, technique and intensity. Dark cupmarks are not evidence of a better treatment within CUPMOVE.

Cupmarks also do not show how much waste someone has. Dosage, response and comfort are central; the goal is to handle it carefully, not creating as much discoloration as possible.

Skin and connective tissue

Focused work on structure

Targeted moving cupping intensively works on the skin and connective tissue, with the aim of making the tissue feel more supple, improving the skin structure and reducing the visibility of cellulite.

Technique and intensity are tailored to the area and how the skin and tissue respond. Results vary per person; no guaranteed or permanent results are promised.

The CUPMOVE method

Get to know first. Then build up.

During the first treatment, we look at how your body reacts: how does the vacuum feel, how does the skin react, where is more resistance experienced, which areas are more sensitive and how does the feeling change during the treatment?

During moving cupping you can also feel how easily a cup moves. Technique, vacuum, speed and intensity are constantly adjusted. Some areas require time and multiple treatments. A powerful treatment is therefore never the same as an aggressive treatment.

Look. Feel. Treat. Adjust.

Your body, your treatment

More than cupping. Tailored to you.
